A classic Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec showcases lush wild berry fruit with a bright acidity that gives way to mild mid-palate tannins. This medium-bodied red wine has notes of cherry and flavors of earthy tobacco on the finish.

This lighter style red pairs well with subtle flavors of herb crusted rack of lamb. It highlights the earthy flavors found in mushroom based dishes and compliments most aged cheeses. It also goes well with hearty pasta dishes, such as lasagna and spaghetti.

The El Dorado appellation is known for producing top quality Bordeaux varietals such as Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Special care is taken in all
aspects of grape growing from deficit irrigation to precise pruning techniques, to handpicking at harvest.

Grapes were hand harvested and gently crushed into small fermentation tanks. Wine was fermented with both pump-over and punch down methods. After a few days of extended maceration, the wine was pressed away from the skins and allowed to settle. The wine was racked off gross lees and aged in mostly neutral oak barrels for more than 18 months.
